Letter to all consultants ophthalmologists and anaesthetists on the proposed BUPA approved ophthalmology network

Dear Doctor
Further to our letter of 14 June, we thought you would be interested to know that Moorfields Consultants’ representatives and Chief Executive have stated that the Trust is not pursuing the current application process pending the outcome of BUPA’s discussions with the BMA and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. The Trust would wish to engage in a constructive dialogue with BUPA once these discussions have concluded. Please see the letter here for full details.
We will keep in touch as and when more information becomes available. In the mean time we would encourage you to continue to resist BUPA’s request for you to apply to their network.
