Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body (DDRB) report 2007 13 March 2007
The Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists Remuneration (DDRB) has made recommendations for increases in doctors' basic pay scales in 2007/08 of £650 for junior doctors and £1,000 for most other salaried doctors. Independent contractor GPs were awarded no increase on this occasion.
These increases represent between 1.04% and 3.13% of basic pay. The government has announced that it will not implement in full those increases in excess of 1.5%.
Doctors for whom the flat rate increases represent more than 1.5% will receive 1.5% with effect from 1 April 2007 and the balance from 1 November 2007. This will affect all but a few junior doctors, all staff grade doctors and those associate specialists not in receipt of two or more discretionary points.
