Representing general practitioners

General practitioners are represented by a main UK-wide committee, the General Practitioners Committee (GPC), plus three national committees, which work alongside it.

The committees represent all general practitioners whether or not they are members of the BMA.

Do you have an issue that you would like to be considered by the GPC's sessional GPs subcommittee?
If you know of a new local or national issue which is affecting salaried GPs or locum GPs, then please let us know. The GPC's sessional GPs subcommittee exists to take forward matters of importance to salaried and locum GPs, and can be contacted by emailing Julie Goodway (jgoodway@bma.org.uk). This is available to BMA members and non-members.

If the query relates to you as an individual, please contact AskBMA - 0870 6060828 or email: askbma@bma.org.uk. AskBMA is available to BMA members only as a benefit of membership.
