    This guidance has been updated to apply to all parts of the UK and was produced by the General Practitioners Committee to clarify GPs terms of service obligations in respect of patients either requesting emergency dental treatment or asking for drugs recommended by private or NHS dentists to be prescribed under the NHS by their GP.
