There will be no further weekly updates as the NHS Next Stage Review has now come to a close. Keep an eye on the Darzi reviews hubpage which will be updated as and when there are any new developments.

- Lord Darzi's final report on his Next Stage Review of the NHS in England was published on Monday 30 June. Read the BMA summary. The BMA's press release giving an initial response to the report can be accessed here.
- Also published on 30 June was a report detailing workforce planning, education and training proposals. Read the BMA summary.
- A further report from Lord Darzi on a vision for primary and community care was published on 3 July. Read the BMA press release.
- The BMA has produced a position statement setting out our concerns over some aspects of the review process as a whole and the proposals made in the early stages of the review.
- The Department of Health has also launched a formal consultation, which will run through the summer, on the case for an NHS constitution.
- Feedback from the BMA regional council meetings held in May and June 2008 across England to discuss SHA’s visions is now available.
